Motocross Challenge

Gentlemen, start your engines! In Motocross Challenge's case, it's not F1 engines, but motocross bikes. As a speed-loving daredevil, you will be up against time, opponents and stuntscores, all of which you will have to beat.

Luckily for you, you got a small choice of bikes to choose from, and as you try your luck on the first tracks, you'll soon unlock better bikes, more challenging tracks and new moves that will reel in even more points.

Motocross Challenge was originally developed to become a commercial game on the Gameboy Advance, but due to circumstances, it never got published. As the developers thought it would be a shame to let a perfectly good game go to waste, they decided to release their work for free, instead.

The result of this, is that you've got a game of a high professional level. The graphics're one of the better ones I've seen on the Gameboy Advance, the music will rock your socks off and the game itself... man alive, the amazing fun-factor and great gameplay will hook anybody within the first minute, and make them unable to let go. I know it did that for me, and I generally don't even like racing games.

The game is, as its name implies, a challenge. Especially the races against the clock and the opponents races might take a few tries on certain tracks, as they've been built in such a way that you will have to choose your bike carefully. One bike might work like a charm on one track, but it doesn't mean it will perform acceptably on another. You will also have to keep obstacles in mind. The tracks are littered with fences, treetrunks, bushels of straw, garbage and other junk. Ride your bike against it and down you go, losing precious time due to the fall and having to get back on your bike.

Engines, mud, speed and stunts... what else can a guy wish for? Motocross Challenge offers all this, bundled with a great dose of fun and plenty of variation to keep you going.

Note: You will need a Gameboy Advance emulator for this game. You can get one here. It's free and legal.
